China, Japan and Asia
I have somehow become part of the Executive Committee for the Hong Kong Anthropological Society, a very worthwhile organization that provides anthropology-related talks to members and guests. While many of the organizers are anthropology professors and students at Chinese U, Hong Kong U and other local Hong Kong universities, it also has a healthy contingent of 'lay' members like myself. The talks are great, and free: the voluntary membership fee is only HK$200. Professor Peter Cave, a Japan expert at Hong Kong University, wanted me to publicize a rather interesting-looking roundtable discussion to be held on its campus on the 29th of November. Congrats on the appointment. Looks like an interesting talk - if you go please make sure you share the gist with those of us who can't make it. posted by: Simon on 11.18.05 at 05:18 PM [permalink]Japan Information Links posted by: Japan Infromation Links on 11.20.05 at 08:35 PM [permalink] |
