Jim, being in Atlanta your help is needed. Operation Give has a US$30,000 desposit with a shipping company called Atlas Line in Atlanta, Georgia and now they refuse to return it. Operation Give is the blogosphere's effort to send toys to kids in Iraq. It's a charity. This needs fixing, Jim. For the details see:Dean, Jay, Jeff Quinton, ASV, Weekend Pundit, Daily Pundit and Joe. UPDATE: looks like this has been sorted. Just so you all know, since some doubt has been cast: despite the company's claims, they had our money and the check had cleared almost a month ago, and when we provided them proof of that they started ignoring our phone calls. They goofed, but as soon as there was public pressure they immediately got on the stick.
