The Singaporean Government's efforts to make the place the Beirut of Asia continues apace: Singapore is set to partially lift its famous ban on chewing gum this week...Starting Thursday, the tightly controlled city-state will allow the sale of Nicorette -- a nicotine gum for smokers trying to quit.This follows the partial relaxing of the ban a few years back for "therapuetic" gums.
