Australia negotiates a lame free-trade agreement with the USA, which the Government is flogging as a "victory" for Australia. Shame the USA doesn't think so.

Great! My retired Dad and his lovely mate (Mom) are just ecstatic that we "won". They celebrate every week when they do the grocery shopping. And gladly pay their "tribute" ie higher food prices so that a few corporate farmers can benefit.

And now instead of a pension-sponsored free pharmacy plan, they can pay for their government provided pharmaceuticals.

And they earn a whole 1% on their lifetime of accumulated savings.

Boy, isn't it great to be retired on a fixed income in America when Bush and Greenspan are "protecting" you!
