Just spent a delightful lunchtime with Mrs M and JC. Went to the doctor to check on Ubul - all looking good on that front. Walking back towards Central Mrs M turned to me and said: "Hong Kong is an assault on your senses. The crowds, the smells, the sights and the sounds."

She's a smart woman, Mrs M is.

Thankfully it's Friday because the stupidity meter is close to breaking.

I am happy that all is well with Ubul.

BTW, Girl/Early is me in the voting system.

It is a happy Friday afternoon, and even the post that I found "out of place" and requested deletion, at OG, is now deleted by C.

Have fun, though I am pissed with alcohol, so please excuse me if I am stepping boundaries here and elsewhere.

May Ubul be as kind, beautiful, and considerate as you all are, and I am sure Ubul will be :-)

Simon,

Speaking of "assaulting the senses", do they still have the stinky tofu stands? I tried to explain the smell, the pungence, to a friend and he didn't believe me that it did indeed smell worse than a skunk (Americans are so narrow minded!:))I will never forget his face, as we were coming out of the MTR at North Point (maybe Causeway Bay) and he got a whiff..."What the hell is that?" he asked me, eyes watering, face distorted. Please tell me they still have those there, and do you know the proper name?

I haven't seen one, but I think they're called "Stinky tofu stands".

You haven't smelt one? Where do you live? Hmmm...I was hoping you would know the real name, since I also refer to them as the stinky tofu stands.
